Here are some suggestions for places to stay in Seattle. The wedding is taking place on a particularly busy summer weekend (Seattle's "Seafair" festival, a rumored Microsoft convention, etc.), so hotel rooms in the city will fill up early. We've held blocks of rooms at three hotels located downtown, and we've also made some suggestions for cheaper alternatives...

Just opened, this is Seattle's first LEED-certified "green" hotel. Seems very sleek and modern, with plenty of amenities. A block of 15 rooms is being held until June 30th for the Patton/Henry wedding at a rate of $199. This rate will also apply 2 days before and after the July 31 / August 1 weekend nights, subject to availability.

This is a classic hotel, built in the 1920s and now restored. It is independently owned and operated, and very centrally located downtown. A block of 15 rooms is being held until June 30th for the Patton/Henry wedding at a rate of $179. This is a fairly chic, Scandinavian-influenced "boutique" hotel. It is on the same block as a number of great local restaurants. Nuff said. A block of rooms is being held until May 1 for the Patton/Henry wedding - both "Andra Suites" at $208 and "Lux Suite" at $249. These rates will also apply 2 days before and after the July 31 / August 1 weekend nights, subject to availability.

This is one of the places we would definitely stay if we were visiting from out of town. It's in a good location, and the rooms are clean and simple. Rates are $99 with a shared bath down the hall.

This place seems very sweet and also affordable. Plus, it's right by the famous Pike Place Market. Rooms are $99/130 (single/double).

Stay with German and Australian backpackers! This is a pretty cool hostel, actually - not part of the standard AYH network (although they do have a branch in S.F.). Right next to the Market as well.
